  1. I loved the semblance to silent film that you created with the black background and white text, coupled with the piano music. I also liked that your photographs did not remain stationary; they zoomed in or out to help maintain the viewer’s attention.
I often use quotes at the beginning of narratives that I write, so I was pleased to see you included one as well; but it was very difficult to read it. Since it helps set the mood of your story, you may want to consider changing how the text scrolls onto the screen to make it easier to read.
One of the last things you stated in your story was that they taught you as much as you’ve taught them; I would like to know some of what you’ve learned from them.
I liked that you choose to highlight an inspiration that is so personal. I think that we often have a tendency to think of inspirations that are slightly removed from our daily lives; a story we heard or read for example. Yet, having an inspiration that is a part of your daily life, keeps you motivated.

  2. Your film was the first to make me cry. What a touching and inspirational journey. I want to hug you and give you a great big "Mom of the year" badge. I thought your film was well-paced and the pictures were great. We also chose the same music, I think! I saw one of the quotes had an additional space where there was a comma and that's all the editing tips I can think to give you. Thank you for such a meaningful story.

  3. Great job! It was amazing the emotion you piled into a short video, but gave the viewers a clear representation of your heart and motivation behind your career. Well done and I wish you loads of luck. Those kids need you!

  4. Your family is beautiful and I enjoyed your message in your digital story. My mom's inspiration in regards to working with students with disabilities came from my brother's Aspergers and Learning Disability, so I can relate to your story on many levels. It takes a very special, kind hearted, and patient educator to step into the realm of disabilities.

  5. Your film was wonderfully personal and had a strong emotional feel. I think that you did a great job at showing your feelings, and the images and text you used definitely work to convey your message about your inspiration and the love you have for your family.
The music does well the move the story along. No distracting, and very neutral.
I might suggest altering the introduction a little, as the quote is a bit difficult to read with how it is presented. I might also challenge you to make the ending a little more powerful, as while I liked the image and text in the last frame, it didn't feel as though it was on the same emotional level as the rest of your video. Just my thoughts! Very well done!!

  6. I really enjoyed your video and the story you told. The photos and music create a strong emotional connection with the viewer. I would like to learn more about your experiences with your students with special needs. I think the only thing that could make this video better is if you chose to add voice over to parts of it. I love the photos you include of your students, and I love all the photos of your daughter - she has a beautiful smile! Thank you for sharing!
